SWUFE plays a very important role in economic research as well as
in financial research of the country. As a result, it has an economic research institute, a financial research
institute and some other
research institutes. With a lot of scientific conferences and academic lectures, the research
profile of the university is very impressive, and in many fields it is
the leader in the whole country.
Since China's reforming and opening up, there have been:
- over 8,500 research projects finalized,
- over 400 research projects of the People's Bank of China and Sichuan Province accomplished
- more than 220 research projects awarded various prizes at the national, provincial levels
for their academic achievements.
The following are some research achievements that won national prizes in recent years:
- On Credit, written by Zeng Kanglin, won the second-class prize in the Second Humanities and Social Science Research Excellent Work Prize,
awarded by the Chinese Ministry of Education.
- On Capital Management, of which the author is Guo Yuanxi, got the eleventh China Book prize in 1998.
- Appraisal and Analysis of Teaching Achievements, by Wu Tao, was awarded the University Excellent Teaching Fruit Prize.
- Direct Force of the Constitution Principle of the Equality for Men and Women in Civil
Field, written by Yu Ming, won the Top Prize in the Second National Youth Excellent Social Science Achievements.
- Research and Statistic System of the Domestic Wholesale Index, written by Wang Yun, obtained the second Prize for Processing in Finance and Science & Technology.
On the 8th excellent social scientific research appraisal meeting of Sichuan province,
24 researches from SWUFE got prizes, which took up 12% of the whole prizes given.
Among them, one was the first-class prize, three the second-class prize and twenty the third-class
prize. The number of the prizes won is the largest in recent ten years.
SWUFE Publishing House
The Publishing House of SWUFE has been twice
awarded "Good Publishing House" by
the National News and Press Agency.
The journal, "Science of Finance and
Economics ", is an excellent magazine
in social sciences in China.
